Ingredients:
As many sweet potatoes or yams as you desire I’m not here to tell you what to do. Wait, I am probably go for half the amount in pounds as you have people
1/4 cup of honey or more you sugar fiend
1/4 cup of molasses if you’re into that kind of stuff
1 tablespoon of cinnamon (I like cinnamon but if you don’t use 1 teaspoon, wuss)
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg or none at all because nutmeg is disgusting and why bother
Some butter (I don’t know use as much as you want I used a quarter cup this isn’t baking)
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon of all spice
Pinch of salt because you’re a salty bitch
4 cups of marshmallows (3 to use and 1 that you inevitably eat)
If you’re a bad ass, like me, blow torch
Instructions:
Set oven to 375 Fahrenheit not Celsius I’m not a Nazi.
Boil water with sweet potatoes you’d think it would go without saying but this is the instructions so here we are preferably on high but could also be on medium or low you do you. This should take around 20 minutes or just wait until you can pierce it with a fork because I usually forget how long something has been cooking for.
Melt some amount of butter in a small sauce pan on medium or high if you’re impatient. Once melted combine all the other ingredients beside the marshmallows bring to a boil and cut off heat.
Eat a half cup of marshmallows while waiting.
Mash sweet potatoes with a potato masher. Push the thought out of your mind that it is a potato masher and not a sweet potato masher. Think about how potatoes must have pretty good publicists to have the masher named after them even though the sweet potato is clearly the superior potato.
Focus
While hot, combine previously made sauce with previously made sweet potatoes.
Contemplate if your family appreciates all that you do for them.
Throw potato mixture into greased pan. Sorry for not mentioning to grease it before I forgot and now so did you.
Bake at 375 covered for 50 minutes or until your family’s incessant jabbering overtakes you.
Eat other 1/2 cup of marshmallows while waiting.
Top the sweet potatoes with the remaining 2 cups of marshmallows. I know you ate more than I said but I told you to save more than was needed. If you didn’t then treat yourself with a cup of marshmallows.
Take out blow torch.
Burn them all, and by them, I mean the marshmallows. Do this until they give a cool creme bruleed look. If you don’t have a blow torch I suggest you get one but if you don’t have time to run down to the corner store and pick yourself up one I guess you can bake the casserole at 500 degrees. I mean it’s not as cool but neither are you I guess.
Let cool for I don’t know 10 minutes so you don’t burn your kids/significant other/self.

Good Luck
